From April 11 to April 13, 2025, the 3rd National Academic Conference on Carbon Dioxide Resource Utilization of the Chinese Chemical Society was held as scheduled in Xinxiang, Henan. This conference brought together top domestic experts and scholars to discuss the cutting-edge technology and future development direction of CO₂ resource utilization. Professor Nie Weixuan's research team was invited to attend the meeting and led team members Mark and Zhang Shiyu to give an academic report entitled "Constructing a non-acidic surface environment to promote efficient electrocatalytic CO₂ reduction in acidic solutions" at the meeting, sharing the latest research results of the research team in the field of electrocatalytic CO₂ reduction, which triggered heated discussions among experts at the meeting. During the meeting, Mark and Zhang Shiyu actively communicated with teachers and students from universities and research institutes across the country to expand their academic horizons and explore the possibility of cooperation.

After the meeting, Professor Nie Weixuan and his team members toured Xinxiang together, experienced the local customs, tasted the special mutton delicacies, and went to the well-known supermarket Pang Donglai to punch in and feel the charm of Xinxiang.
